Trail Etiquette and Safety

• Bicyclists should yield to walkers
• Keep right and pass left
• Announce “on your left” beffore passing
• Avoid stopping and blocking the path
• Dispose of all trash properly
• Be courteous to others regardless of their mode, speed or skill level
• Stay on trail; respect private property that adjoins the trail
• Call 911 for emergencies and reference the mile marker
• Report maintenance or safety conditions to the Freeport Park District, 815-235-6114, trails@freeportparkdistrict.org
